Aligning Vinyl Layers
When cutting multiple layers of vinyl to be layered on a substrate simply add a few small stars in the same place on each layer.
This technique is similar to the previous post about adding small squares to each color of vinyl to be layered. But with an added element. If you replace those 1/4" squares with small stars the alignment process is a little easier. When you apply the base layer apply the whole star. But for subsequent layers manually cut the stars in half. This allows you to more easily see the base layer and gives a more accurate alignment point.
