New NUR Ultima HiQ 4C 3200 from NUR Macroprinters delivers the performance of a mid-range production printer at an entry-level price point

Lod, Israel, December 2, 2003 - NUR Macroprinters (Nasdaq-SCM: NURM), a market leading supplier of wide-format inkjet production printing systems for the out-of-home advertising market, today announced a new, 4-color version of its NUR Ultima™ HiQ 3200 inkjet production printer designed to deliver mid-range volume performance at an entry-level price point.

"This new 4-color version of our NUR Ultima HiQ 3200 inkjet printer provides an affordable entry-level price point for new customers taking their first step into wide-format inkjet production printing," said Itay Shalit, Director of Marketing at NUR Macroprinters.

"On top of its low cost of entry, the machine gives new customers a built-in upgrade path to enable future expansion and help protect their investment. It can be upgraded in the field at any time to 8-color printing and performance. It also includes a host of performance and quality-oriented features like true-white skip in two printing axes, roll-to-roll and roll-to-sheet modes, up to 300 dpi resolution, and an optional mesh printing kit. This rich set of features gives the machine the versatility to tackle the widest variety of wide-format printing applications."

The new NUR Ultima HiQ 4C 3200 provides a selection of speed/quality modes to accommodate a variety of wide-format printing applications ranging from 236 square feet per hour (22 sq. m/hour) high quality to the upper speed of 731 square feet per hour (67 sq. m/hour) for billboards and many mesh applications. Equipped with 32 printheads - 8 per color ­- the new machine uses pigmented, solvent-based NUR Spirit™ inks to deliver printed output up to 10.5 feet (3.2m) wide with up to two years of outdoor durability* ­­- without the need for special coatings.

Additional key features in the new NUR Ultima HiQ 4C 3200 include:

  • Mid-level productivity - up to 731 square feet per hour (67 sq.m/hr)
  • Both roll-to-roll and roll-to-sheet operating modes
  • 4-color printing with field upgrade ability to 8-color printing and performance (upgrade kit includes hardware and software)

The machine's high quality print modes allow for quality printing of indoor banners for showrooms, exhibitions and other close viewing applications with sharp text and sharp images. Its fastest print mode is perfect for outdoor applications such as billboards, wallscapes and large banners.

NUR Macroprinters is now taking orders for delivery of the new NUR Ultima HiQ 4C 3200 from January 2004.
